Description

Casa de Campo is part of a small hamlet and consists of 3 one bedroom apartments, with double bed settees in the living room, allowing them to sleep 4 people. All self contained with private veranda and large swimming pool, outside shower and barbecue area. The apartments are available to let individually, or as a whole unit, sleeping up to 12 people.

Situated approximately a 15 minute car ride from tavira, the beaches of the Eastern Algarve and its coastal towns. We are in easy reach of the golf courses, the Observatory for serious star gazers, and the salt marshes for serious bird watchers. In the Spring and Autumn we are visited by many migratory birds, but the common birds of the Algarve are here in abundance, and are stunning. As are the wild flowers which beat Province in the Spring.The area here is dotted with many lakes, especially in the nearby Parc Florestal where hunting and fishing is forbidden.

It must be mentioned that the food and drink is excellent AND cheap! Fresh fish, meat, and vegetables are readily available from the new market in Tavira, the supermarkets, the resteraunts, and cafes in the local area. You can dine like a King for under £10 a head! For those who enjoy shopping, there is a Sunday market every week at one of the towns within easy reach. Our very own Vila Nova de Caçela (10 minutes away by car) is on the third Sunday of every month. Here, everything is sold, from plastic buckets to Chickens and Ducks, from wonderful bbq chicken and pork to clothing and plants.

Spain is only half an hour away by car. You might take the drive to Villa Real de San Antonio and take the ferry to Ayamonte, or drive across the new span bridge on the new motorway, to Seville and beyond. With the new motorway, Gibraltar is only a 4 hour drive away! It is advisable to hire a car here, and we have the co-operation of a Tavira company with very competitive rates . We would be happy to arrange car hire for you should you so desire. If you don't drive, we will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to Casa de Campo. Or you may want to catch the bus to Faro Station and take the train, where you would be met at Tavira Station and transferred to Casa de Campo.

Finally, at Casa de Campo we have available (besides paperbacks) Portuguese phrase books, guide books, and bird books that you are welcome to use during your stay. If you are looking for a holiday that will re-charge your batteries, relieve the stress levels, and fill you with bonhomie, Casa de Campo is the place for you!
